When you are ready to purchase a number in Aircall, you may see that the number requires additional documentation in order to be activated. If you'd like to understand more about these requirements, you can learn about them through this guide.

Though, in this article, we'll be focusing on how to manage the process directly from the Dashboard. If you are an Aircall Admin User, you can directly manage the information submission and verification process through the Dashboard.

  • You'll first need to login to the Dashboard.
  • Then select Numbers in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Select Create a number. 
  • Select the country and city for which you'd like the number for. If there is additional information required, you'll see the banner below the selection as pictured below.
  • Select any users or teams that will be making and receiving calls with the number.
  • Name the number.
  • Select Create Number.

Once the number has been created, you can choose to submit the information immediately or skip it until later.

Please note that if you choose Skip for now, the number will remain in your Inactive numbers section and you will be unable to make and receive calls until the documentation has passed verification. The number will look appear as follows:

These numbers will also not appear: 

  • in your Aircall Phone application.
  • in the Aircall Analytics.

If you choose to submit the information immediately, you'll need to select Submit Information Now. 

Next, you'll need to select the information you'd like to provide (either as a company or a company representative). To find out which documents are needed for each country, please check out our guide on Address Requirements for Aircall Phone Numbers.

Finally, you will need to complete all of the information required in the form, upload your documents, and select Submit. Once your address and identity documents have passed verification, you'll receive a confirmation email and your number will move to the Active numbers section.

Pending and Rejected Numbers 

Once you have submitted all of the necessary information and supporting documents, your number will remain in the Inactive section of your Numbers. The number will appear with a pending badge (as pictured below) while the information is pending review.

When you click on the number to access the individual number's settings, you'll also see a gold banner with the following message:

As soon as your information has been validated, the number will move to your Active Numbers section and you will now be able to make and receive calls. 🎉

If you receive a rejection notice on the information you submitted, as an Admin user, you'll be responsible for resubmitting the correct information again.

Your number will appear with the rejection badge as pictured below:

When you click on the number's individual settings, it will appear as follows:

From here, you can select submit to resubmit new documents or information. You'll be redirected to the same form again where you will have more detailed information regarding the rejection reason.

After you have completed the resubmission, the number will resume back to a pending status until approved.
