If you have several contacts to add to Aircall at once, you can easily upload them into Aircall by uploading a CSV file (desktop application only).
In this article, however, we will focus on adding, editing, and deleting contacts individually from the Aircall Phone application.
Adding a New Contact
Open your phone and click on the People section located on the bottom navigation menu. Click on Create New Contact, located in the upper right-hand corner of the app. You can also add or create a contact from the In-Call or Call End view.
A New Contact Card will slide open from the bottom and you can fill in the necessary fields.
Once the contact information has been completed, click Save. Your contact will now appear like this in the People section.
To trigger a search of Contacts in the phone, you will need to enter at least 3 characters. Anything less than 3 characters will return a search for Teammates only.
⚠️ Please note that trailing spaces are not counted as a character for a text search.
When searching for a contact Number, you will need to enter at least 4 characters. Anything less than 4 characters will return a search for Teammates only.
Editing & Deleting Contacts
If you’d like to edit a contact, you can click on the People section. Then click on a contact to access their card details. Click on Edit in the upper right-hand corner. You can also edit a contact from the In-Call or Call End view.
You will only be able to delete a contact if you are an admin user. Click on the People section, then click on a contact to access their card details. Scroll to the bottom of the contact details and click on Delete contact.
Please keep in mind that contacts can only be deleted by an Admin user. Once the contact is deleted, it will be removed from your People section.
📱Contact creation is not yet available on the iOS application.
