Once you have downloaded and installed our Android app, the next step is to make sure that your settings are properly set up to use Aircall.

Allow Aircall settings

  • Log in to your Android app.

  • You will then see a Permissions window requesting access for the Microphone, Notifications, and Contacts in order to configure your app.

The Microphone and Notification permissions are required to enable the app, while Contacts permission is optional.

Permissions - Microphone

Aircall requires access to your microphone. In order to provide access, click the switch which will turn green.

Then you’ll be prompted to allow 'Aircall to record audio.'

In order to provide access, click “Allow”.

⚠️ Note: In Aircall, you can choose to activate or deactivate the call recording feature on each of your lines, but it’s important to allow your phone to activate this feature before you decide to enable or disable it on each of your lines.

Permissions - Notifications

Aircall requires access to incoming calls notifications. This will allow you to stay connected and receive calls and notifications even when you’re not in the app.

In order to provide access, click the switch which will turn green.

Then you’ll be prompted to allow 'Let app always run in background.'

In order to provide access, make sure to click “Allow”.

Permissions - Contacts

Allowing contact permissions makes it easier to interact with the contacts stored on your Android device. It allows you to display the contact list from your personal device directly inside the Aircall app, and call your local device contacts using Aircall.*

In order to provide access, click the switch which will turn green.

Accept the sharing contact permission when prompted by 'Allow Aircall to access your contacts' and click 'Allow'

Note: Local device contacts are not shared with your teammates

*This is optional, and you can decide to allow permissions later after setting up your app.

Preferences - Contacts

If you wish to set up contact sharing after initial set up, you can navigate to Preferences > Privacy and Permissions

Then enable permissions for Contacts by clicking the switch which will turn green and accept the sharing contact permission.

Now you are ready to start using Aircall on your Android device! 🎉

⚠️ You will only receive these messages when you log into the Android App for the first time. If at any given time, the app detects that these settings are not correctly set up, the messages will pop up again.
