Automatically setting up your phone line's daily business hours allows for your phone lines to open and close automatically.
Aircall Admins can set a number's opening hours regardless of the user's working hours. If an Aircall number is set as closed, no users assigned to the line will receive calls even if theirs working hours indicate that they are available.
Administrators can choose to manage the availability of their phone support in the following ways:
Custom - By defining automatic business hours for each of their numbers, allowing Aircall users to remain in available mode to be able to answer calls (they can also update their own working hours to mimic the business hours).
Always Open - By defining the working hours for each Aircall user and leaving their Aircall numbers always open (calls will then come to whichever teammate is available to take the call).
Custom/Always Open - By mixing the numbers' opening hours and teammates' working hours. Calls will come in when numbers are open and at least one teammate is available.
Always Closed - No one will be able to reach the number or any users as the line is closed.
How to set up the Business Hours in the Dashboard:
Log in to the Dashboard.
Select the number you would like to set up business hours for. You can so do by searching for the number in the search bar on the right-hand side of the screen.
Under the Business hours tab, you will see the options to configure the business hours.
You can select the Timezone, Availability type, and specific Time Slots that include the day and hours your lines will be open and closed.
Once you set up the business hours, click on Save changes.
⚠️ Please note that it is not yet possible to set up holiday business hours through this feature.
