Once you've downloaded and installed the Aircall application on your device, the next step is to choose your calling preferences and settings. Establishing your individual calling preferences enables users to customize their Aircall app by choosing their default numbers, audio devices and more.
Let's take a look at setting up your preferences. First things first:
- Open your Desktop or Web app
- Click on the
Settings page
- Go to the
Calling Preferences section and choose which options you'd like to setup
Feel free to customize the following options:
Making calls: set your default Aircall number and your default country code.
The number displayed when forwarding calls to an external mobile or landline: When receiving an inbound call to your Aircall number and then forwarding it to an external mobile or landline number of your choice, you can choose to see the caller's number or the Aircall number they originally called.
Call notifications: Select the default ringtone you prefer or you can choose to have no ringtone. Additionally, you can decide whether you would like to see a pop-up screen when receiving a call.
Shortcuts: Here, you can choose to activate keyboard shortcuts for picking up, declining or hanging up your calls. Kindly note that enabling the keyboard commands may prevent accidental call rejections.
After call: Set a wrap-up time in order to complete any tasks that occur after you've ended your conversation.
Now that you've customized your preferences, you're now ready to make and receive calls even more productively!
